Job Description

You will be a self-motivated, pro-active individual with good communication skills and have a proven track record of delivery. You will support the Divisional Head of Finance in providing a comprehensive finance partnering role to the division, including strategic and business case development, support around budget setting and financial reporting, developing plans for elective recovery and efficiency programmes, as well as providing value through financial advice and challenge, the role will also involve managing a team of three Finance Business Partners and driving improvement and development of the team.
You also provide a comprehensive business partnering service to a Clinical Directorate within the division, supporting the Directorate management team to understand, manage and influence their financial position, as well as supporting their strategic development.
The Deputy Divisional Head of Finance will support the Divisional Head of Finance in providing effective and professional leadership within the Division and in particular, of the finance team in implementing strategy and delivering outputs and service consistent with the Division’s strategic and business objectives.
They will provide day to day leadership of the Finance team and will be responsible to the Divisional Head of Finance for delivery of the functions objectives and service standards. The post holder is expected to work as part of a cohesive team and when necessary, may take lead responsibility for issues outside of their immediate sphere of responsibility.
The Deputy Divisional Head of Finance will work closely with Head of Finance and Finance Business Partners to ensure that the finance function makes an influential contribution to the Division’s managerial and business objectives.
The post holder will develop close and collaborative working relationships with key leads within corporate finance to ensure the divisional finance team’s operations consistent with the Trust’s financial framework and in managing the implementation of financial controls and processes, and will be responsible for the effective and accurate production of financial reporting and analysis
