Work closely with the International Business Development Director and their team to produce robust financial appraisals of new businesses opportunities.
Present financial appraisals to senior management, including the CEO and CFO, ensuring all assumptions are communicated clearly, and all risks and opportunities are understood.
Undertake the necessary due diligence in new markets, ensuring all functional Directors are bought into the numbers and are taking ownership for their respective areas.
Lead on governance & sign off for business cases
Support the implementation of new businesses and reviewing of performance versus the original business case (PCRs).
Provide analytical support/insights to the Commercial Director and their team, helping to identify trends and understand the underlying trading performance vs current plan and prior year comparatives.
Create appropriate challenge on Commercial initiatives and performance in order to optimize the P&L.
Assist in identifying profit initiatives and tracking the benefits through the P&L.
Control the Supplier Income process end to end, ensuring governance on recognition and communication of performance against target.
Management of two fully qualified professional accountants.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE or equivalent – ICAEW, CIMA or ACCA
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a fast-paced organization
Strong Commercial acumen

Strong communication skills & gravitas
Self-starter, capable of planning and prioritizing a broad and extensive range of activities
Keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring financial data is summarized in a logical way and targeted to the relevant audience

Ability to structure & organize work to deliver to tight deadlines and priorities conflicting demands
Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Look ups as a minimum)
