Job Description
  • Specific responsibility and accountability for assigned Major Trading Partner Accounts
  • Work with Senior Leadership to drive delivery of the individual broker plans, aligned to business planning targets, managing underperformance on key performance indicators including new business, cross sell & renewal retention
  • Working with the Head of Partnership Management in the development & management of external broker relationships aligned to broker planning targets ensuring the business is connected with key decision makers at every level of key broker partners
  • Manage the coordination of broker correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, briefing papers and presentations for meetings / conferences across EO for selected MTP’s
  • Effectively manage broker administration and broker file maintenance
  • Manage the broker administration process including agency/broker accreditation, negotiation of Terms of Business Agreements (TOBA’s), broker remuneration strategy, broker credit control and legal contracts. Working with Compliance and Internal Audit to ensure that processes are compliant at all times.
  • Managing the broker file maintenance process including managing broker records - structure charts, hierarchies, file notes, and broker contacts. Manage all broker matters related to the sales platform (Salesforce).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers to support constructive, mutually beneficial relationships
  • Lead and develop company visibility at broker events to develop business profile & awareness
  • Attendance at internal strategic & distribution meetings and external broker meetings
  • Engagement with key stakeholders across the business including underwriting, legal, operations, claims, finance and actuarial
  • Actively seek, manage and act on Broker feedback
  • Manage, service and review company’s to ensure progress toward business plan objectives
  • Monitor and review assigned broker business to ensure progress toward business plan objectives, identify any underperformance and solve any issues that may arise
  • Act as a point of reference to guide and advise others to ensure the sharing of knowledge and best practice

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Good knowledge of the industry and regulatory environment, with knowledge of strategic planning and managing broker relationships
  • Analytical Skills: ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire
  • Influencing skills: ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority
  • Excellent relationships management skills, with the ability to clearly build rapport and credibility
