Job Description

The main focus of the Truck and Trailer Rental Controller is to support the Rental, Maintenance and Finance Departments by playing a pivotal part of our rental operation, ensuring vehicles are maintained using our in house systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer bookings from the initial booking inquiry through to delivery
• Ensuring all rental paperwork is completed accurately
• Inputting data into the in house rental system
• Checking trucks and trailers in and out
• Processing PCN’s and toll crossings
• Booking vehicles in for servicing, MOT’s, and warranty work
• Ensuring insurance and operator’s license documents are accurate and present
• Arranging vehicle/trailer deliveries and collections to and from our customers premises
• Working closely with the rental manager and fleet team to ensure all vehicles are compliant, clean, tidy and ready for rental
• To capture damage on return equipment-notifying customers and sending repair estimates
• Chasing rental order numbers

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Vehicle Rental and/or fleet management experience is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.
• Problem solving, a ‘can do’ attitude, and the ability to work in a highly busy environment
• Time management and ability to priorities workloads
• Data management
• Excellent verbal, written, & IT skills
