Job Description

We are recruiting for a UK Financial Controller who will be responsible for Financial, Regulatory and Statutory deliverables for the Group. This position will be suited to a technically astute Accountant with a sound Reporting skillset who either has experience in a Controllership position in the London Market, or feels they are ready for a step-up into a role of greater seniority.

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the producing the Financial and Regulatory deliverables in relation to Companies House, HMRC.
• Submit Group VAT returns and preparing simple Corporation Tax computations.
• Prepare annual Statutory Accounts under FRS102 and manage the Audit and Consolidation process.
• Implementing Reporting alongside Revenue and Cost Accounting controls.
• Responsible for the creation, mapping and documentation of all Financial processes.
• Lead on monthly UK Payroll supporting the Group HR Director.
• Review and sign-off quarterly Balance Sheet reconciliations and General Ledger management.
• Review of monthly Management Accounts that will be presented at committee meetings.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a minimum of three years’ PQE
• Ideally you will have trained/qualified in an Audit/Practice environment
• You must have experience in the Lloyd’s and/or London Insurance Market
• Experience in a Managerial or Controllership (Finance) role is highly desirable
