Job Description
  • Managing fund liquidity through the preparation/update of cash forecasts based on fees, expenses, investment and investor drawdowns and distributions
  • Production of weekly and monthly Bank Reconciliations
  • Production of monthly custody reconciliations
  • Managing and inputting payments across the funds
  • Bookkeeping for the funds the business has
  • Collation of quarterly valuations
  • Maintenance of the Finance group mailbox and responding to queries
  • Preparation of investor drawdowns and distributions
  • Preparation of fund financial statements
  • Assistance with preparing information required for audit and responding to auditor queries
  • Assistance with regulatory reporting
  • Collation of financial information for the investment team to support investor reporting and fundraising activity
  • Collaborate with the Tax Assistant to facilitate their preparation of tax reporting documents
  • Various ad-hoc tasks
  • Ensure payments are made in accordance with procedures and in line with the payment terms
  • Monitor the new deals log, collating the required information from the investment team in order to facilitate deals funding on time
  • Ensure the accounting books and records are kept up to date through timely and accurate input of accounting journal entries
  • Ensure queries are appropriately responded to and escalated to the team Managers where necessary

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Sound communication skills (written and oral) with the confidence to deal with key senior stakeholders
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP desirable
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous accounting/bookkeeping experience desired, preferably in a Private Equity or Asset Management role
  • Previous Cash Management (forecasting, and production of reconciliations) experience
  • Understanding of need for financial control environment
  • Experience of dealing with high volumes of queries from multiple teams
  • Experience at multi-tasking
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to meet multiple deadlines
