Job Description
  • Assistance with the collation of payroll (payroll outsourced)
  • Managing the company’s accounts on Sage 50 (Sage experience required)
  • Managing the purchase ledger
  • Managing the sales ledger including raising invoices and full credit control
  • Managing the bank including making supplier and payroll payments
  • Preparing Weekly cashflows 
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Managing the confidential invoice discounting facility
  • Managing the company’s credit cards
  • Managing HMRC filings and payments
  • Preparing management accounts
  • Supervising Accounts assistant
  • Assisting the FD with the company’s financing options
  • Working with the company’s external accounts

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ideally qualified to accountant level (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) but not essential
  • Good time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and plan workflow
  • Quick learner
  • Excellent Excel and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Flexibility, commitment and integrity
  • Knowledge of accounts software, we use Sage Line 50
  • Must have worked in similar hands-on Finance roles
  • Management Accountant roles - min 3 years’ experience
  • Needs to be able to provide financial analysis, reports and guidance including cash and budgetary forecasting
