Job Description
  • Orchestrates and provides oversight of the portfolio-level project delivery including leadership of portfolio-wide resource and demand planning / forecasting
  • Drives project management discipline throughout organization and leading on continuous improvement of portfolio governance, capturing lessons learned and feeding this into processes and guidelines
  • Defines appropriate measures and building comprehensive and meaningful reports/dashboards; synthesising data and insights from across the portfolio to support leadership and PMs to make informed strategic decisions
  • Oversees definition and use of FinOps data to drive good financial delivery to plan within management and supporting the Finance representative to collate and communicate financial updates on Cloud usage to support longer term strategic budgeting
  • Establishes quality management policy, objectives, process, and documentation that embed effective QMS process into organization that fits modern agile software engineering practice, aligns with wider company regulatory management process, and ensures audit readiness/compliance at all times
  • Partners with leads across company to enable best-in-class project management tools and process, including use of Jira, Confluence, and similar productivity software

This role is responsible for leading 3 key functional areas in support of the organization including recruiting, developing and retaining a high-functioning organization of industry leading talent

  • Overall responsibility for the management and delivery of all projects and programmes within scope, time and budget which may dynamically evolve to reflect change in customer needs or business constraints. Owning the Demand Portfolio milestone plan. Identifying critical path items, milestones and interdependencies. Acting as the capacity and resourcing manager for allocation of Project Manager/Dev resources to support delivery
  • Responsible for ensuring that business needs represented by the Product team are then translated by the programme team into delivery plans that are achievable and agreed by key stakeholders. This also includes supporting overviews of portfolio progress to senior leads and appropriate governance boards.
  • Ensure that good risk management practice is embedded within Onyx and that risks and opportunities are identified, addressed or that risks requiring collective senior discussion are escalated to the LT
  • Establish the company quality framework, ensuring quality objectives fit the strategic direction and that QMS requirements are integrated into the organization's business processes and engineering ways of working; leading review and evolution of the QMS at planned intervals
  • Ensure resources needed for the QMS are available; including to develop and maintain appropriate documentation (e.g. SOPs)
  • Communicate the importance of the QMS requirements; engaging, directing and supporting people to align to the QMS principles, templates and approaches
  • Ensure organization is audit ready and lead any audit, regulatory or compliance assessments on behalf of the organization; representing the group on senior internal and external boards to ensure that all customer and legal requirements are met
  • Partner with Fin Ops team to define and implement the FinOps strategy and governance; providing oversight of financial delivery to plan e.g. CAPEX investment and development/implementation of Cloud budget planning with Finance and Senior business stakeholders
  • Supporting the teams in cost control and optimization techniques through reporting, resourcing models, and procurement oversight

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT Programme Management, Data Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline

Masters or equivalent work experience in IT Programme Management, Data Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
