Job Description

The Senior Finance Manager will lead a team of accountants, reporting into the Group Financial Controller and supporting coordination with the group accounting and commercial finance teams. The Finance manager will work with the management accounting team to prepare & review the divisional and entity level financial records and monthly performance reports including management accounts.
Responsibilities include:

  • Review of monthly management accounts for each division
  • Review of balance sheet reconciliations and monthly KPI's
  • Supervision of the reconciliation of inter-company accounts and recharges including loan account balances
  • Support the Group Financial Controller & Finance Business Partners with monthly commentary on variances from budget and prior month/year performance
  • Prepare and review the VAT Returns, liaising with HMRC and European VAT advisors as required
  • Manage the financial external audits, with support from the Group Financial Controller
  • Line Manage a team on a day-to day basis, providing coaching and mentoring
  • Assist the Financial Controller with statutory reporting
  • Support the preparation of the Monthly accounts submission to Group and Group reporting packs
  • Review and drive process improvements within the accounts team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable experience in responsibilities in management accounting and financial accounting, including exposure to providing commercial support to senior stakeholders. You will also have proven line management experience and enjoy working as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
