Job Description

The Credit Collections Manager is responsible for a team of Credit Collections Analysts handling Collections for dealerships in EMEA. The role is also responsible for liaising with and advising collectors in Asia Pacific and Latin America.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the protection of the debtor asset via proactive collections.
  • In conjunction with Credit Risk Analysts, identify high risk dealers to ensure they action plans are in place to mitigate risk.
  • Approval of product release for credit held dealers and remedying at risk orders with the commercial team.
  • Focus on overdue debt with special attention to 31+ day debt overdue, ensuring action plans are in place to reduce liability
  • Reduce DSO, overdue debt and credit losses in line with targets.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with multiple stakeholders to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Manage market and dealer debt issues.
  • Approval of debt extensions for dealers in line with Credit Policy.
  • Produce reports to identify areas of focus/concerns e.g. Aged Debt reports, Cash Collection, ICC monthly reporting, Ad hoc reporting
  • Attend monthly International Credit Committee (ICC) meetings to discuss Aged Debt results, escalated dealers and high-risk markets.
  • Organize and lead monthly calls with other regions.
  • Any other ad hoc duties pertaining to Credit Management as required by the business
  • Develop strong relations with HD stakeholders, Subsidiary teams and where required Dealers.
  • Incorporate continuous improvement programmes and enhance operational risk initiatives, developing Key Performance indicators.
  • Train and develop the Credit team on Underwriting, Collections and Customer Master data. (performance, development, record training).

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Degree in Credit, Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience is preferable
  • Experience: Typically requires 7 years of related experience.
  • Analytical Skills: Able to interpret financial statements
  • Must have the ability to operate at a strategic level as well as at a functional level and in an International environment.
  • Proactive & enthusiastic approach.
  • Awareness of automotive market and dealership management.
  • Excellent leadership/management skills, oral and written communication skills, negotiation skills and business acumen.
  • SAP experience required.
  • Automotive wholesale experience preferred.
  • Ability to speak more than one language.
