Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an IT Finance Lead to join the International Financial Planning & Analysis team within our highly successful multinational organization.

The IT Finance Lead is a key role within the accounting and finance organization and will work closely with the IT, Controllership, Operational Finance and FP&A teams. IT and Software is one of the largest costs bases across International. The role is key to providing the financial support to all aspects of IT and Software across International, ensuring we have accurate reporting and a detailed understanding of costs.

Key areas of responsibility vary across countries but include:

  • Partner and support the Regional IT Teams, Procurement, Regional Operations Directors and Regional Finance teams in all aspects of International IT Finance.
  • Lead and coordinate the quarterly Outlook and annual operating planning processes for the IT Function and Software P&L’s including consideration for Growth, Inflation and Forex implications.
  • Identify and communicate risks and opportunities to Senior Management.
  • Complete monthly analysis of actual operating costs and provide explanation of variances to Outlook/Plan/Prior Year.
  • Develop and present a monthly reporting pack to senior management comprising of updates from each of the regions.
  • Be the first point of contact for IT requests for the International Operating Group.
  • Support the wider business in understanding Software spend, engaging with the regions and corporate.
  • Support the month end close process performing reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of financial transactions, maintain and adjust for accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
  • Other adhoc tasks as and when they are required.
  • Reporting line responsibility of one resource in GBS. Develop and work towards transferring any manual processes to GBS.
  • Develop and improve consolidated reporting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Chartered Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CPA or similar) preferable and/or 5+ of relevant financial analyst experience.
  • Strong Business Partnering skills, comfortable presenting to senior management.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills essential.
  • Must be pro-active and demonstrate ability to see things through to the end.
  • Ability to manage details.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works independently as well as part of a team; willingness to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives.
  • Reasonable amount of UK travel expected.
  • Ensure tasks are completed timely and accurately.
  • Receptive to change even if it is last minute.
