Job Description

Assess and maintain an independent view of the risks the business is exposed to and ensure appropriate mitigating strategies are in place to manage the exposure.

• Identifying and managing risks to the organization, employees, stakeholders, assets, and operations
• Developing ERM strategies, objectives and policies that will establish the framework, tools, and procedures to achieve successful risk identification and management within best practice standards
• Engaging and developing effective working relationships to support cooperative responses to risk management matters
• Providing guidance and training to our colleagues to promote risk control awareness, ownership, and accountability
• Leading and developing the Enterprise Risk Team
• Effectively planning, designing, monitoring, and implementing risk management processes and programs
• Effective leadership, innovation, governance, and management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and manage the operational and strategic risk
• Percentage of mitigating strategies in place
• Cycle time since the last strategy review for risks
• Impact of risks as and when they materialize

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience in enterprise risk management, incl. implementing numerous enterprise-wide risk management strategies
• Track record of success in leading organizations through transformation impacting both the business and risk management
• Experience with risk identification and assessment utilizing data analytics and a quantitative approach
• Experience with compliance reporting regulations
• Ability to create and maintain financial and other models using Microsoft Excel or similar enterprise modelling tools
