Job Description

• The planning, development, monitoring, audit, evaluation and delivery of the P&D services across the Trust.
• Ensuring that working practices meet requirements of medicines legislation as well as professional, local and national guidelines.
• Implementing necessary changes, thereby ensuring the delivery of a comprehensive, high quality service.
• Provide professional leadership and management of all aspects of P&D services for all staff members who work within the area. This includes pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pre-registration staff, trainee pharmacists and support workers.
• Management of regional and national contracts and ensuring departmental compliance.
• Ensuring that appropriate training is provided and documented for all staff working in the area.
• Promote excellence within the P&D department and model behaviors of continuous learning and improvement to others.
• Represent company at regional and national levels and participate in the wider strategic agenda for pharmacy technicians
