Job Description

We are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join our finance team, this role will lead a team of circa 7 employees to ensure all core accounting and reporting is completed accurately and within agreed timescales. This role will be based from our Slough office on a hybrid basis (3 days in a week). The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant, have a proven track record for strong financial reporting and control as well as the ability to people manager to drive for high performance.

• Responsible for financial and management reporting to Corporate (monthly, annually, ad hoc) and the managing Board.
• Develop and maintain a high standard of disciplined financial reporting in terms of uniformity, integrity, speed and quality
• Responsible for preparation of annual accounts and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and deadlines
• Responsible for coordinating annual audit and ad hoc audits as they occur (internally and externally).
• Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss control and applicable reconciliations.
• Responsible for reporting and engagement with selected operational business areas on their performance

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / ACMA) or equivalent.
• Degree educated or experience led equivalent.
• Proven senior Finance Manager with a track record gained within a business regarded for strong financial reporting & control.
• Proven People Manager capable of building, leading and developing strong teams
• Experience in identifying and implementing change.
• Confident and assertive, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with directors and other senior employees.
• Must be a decision making, capable of demanding respect.
• Excellent analytical skills including advanced Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence, persuade and constructively challenge
