Providing advice and support to the VP, Group Finance, CFO and Chief Executive to on all aspects of financing and treasury management relating to M&A activity and other corporate activity
Communicate treasury strategy to key stakeholders including an annual finance plan for the Group’s financing and treasury activities
Managing capital markets and funding related activities.
Developing new relationships as required to support the Group’s growth and development
Being the focal point for relationships with banks, rating agencies and debt capital markets.
Effectively communicating the financing requirements of the Group to these capital market participants
Managing the Group’s financial risks within the Board’s agreed treasury policy limits (in particular bank counterparty, foreign exchange and interest rate risks)
Leading, coaching and developing the staff of the Group Treasury function
Managing and developing the Group’s treasury systems
Ensuring that there are adequate procedures and internal controls over Group Treasury activities, and that there are adequate business continuity plans
Managing the budget for Group Treasury activities within the limits agreed by the CFO
Responsible the Group’s capital structure within the framework of the Group’s overall financing and tax objectives
Arranging core debt facilities for the Group
Approving any financing transaction which requires company guarantee
Managing the Group’s surplus cash and short term liquidity
Initiating and implementing project and structured financing solutions
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A qualified Accountant with the MCT qualification
Significant treasury experience with a good working knowledge of the dynamics of financial markets, and understanding of financial risk management
Experienced in structuring and project managing the development and execution of financing solutions
A strong team leader who has the ability to coach and develop the Group Treasury team and manage change effectively both internally and externally
Professional gravitas, assertive and confident with a high level of personal and professional credibility
Strong cultural awareness, adaptability and confidence to operate across geographic regions
