Job Description
  • Ensure that the monthly management accounts are accurately prepared and are reviewed in detail.
  • Production and 1st level review of the Divisional management accounts
  • Analyze costs, fees, project margins and the division’s performance compared to business targets.
  • Obtain robust explanations for any significant trends/variations to target or forecast for each business unit.
  • Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff (including attendance at monthly management meetings) while recommending further courses of action.
  • Perform monthly accrued revenue and debtor reviews with individual offices based upon a risk focused rotation plan.
  • Aid in the forecasting of the division’s finances
  • Assist Divisional FD in preparation of annual target models
  • Scrutinize, challenge and query the following office requests on a timely basis:
    - PR capex requests
    - Credit note requests
    - WIP transfers
    - Review Sub-contractor checklist for correct employment status
    - Credit limit forms 
  • Assist Divisional FD in ensuring that the division complies with the regulatory framework e.g. (External audit, Intermediaries reporting, PAYE/PSA compliance, VAT compliance)
  • Assist local offices to resolve issues/queries on operation of RPS Systems e.g. Sharpowl, PRS, COB reporting
  • Assist with change management in lead up to any new systems
  • Adhoc assistance to the Divisional FD
  • Review and approval of Banking payments
  • Lead on training in the offices to enhance the knowledge of the Operational directors, Project managers and business support staff.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Good technical knowledge including UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Previous experience in a Finance Manager role is desirable but we will also consider qualified candidates who are looking to step into a management role.
