Job Description
The finance Director role will take overall responsibility for the financial management of the business and support the organization and senior team at a time of rapid development and organizational change. The role is fully remote, however there will be some international and domestic travel involved.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the financial strategy for the organization and oversee financial operations
- Evaluate debt requirements and facilitate funding arrangements
- Preparation of management accounts and day to day relative P&I forecasting
- Review, analyze and challenge financial reports to ensure that they are accurate, effective and timely
- Manage the finance team
- Evaluate and improve internal controls and procedures to protect the organization
- Lead the development and maintenance of finance elements and develop procedures to mitigate risks
- Produce and monitor budgets and report actual performance
- Deliver robust plans and forecasts
- Assess and evaluate financial performance of the Sales division and produce targets and monitor KPI’s
- Proactively manage cash flow and keep the CEO and Board informed of cash availability, situation, and funding issues
- Produce the annual financial report and accounts and other statutory returns
- Handle and lead the basics of financial accounting, management accounting, payroll, compliance, and taxation
- Review and approve supplier contracts and keep record of scheduled payments
- Sound knowledge of basic financial management including financial accounting, management accounting, compliance, taxation and VAT
