Responsible for leading the UK Finance team across the full spectrum of finance disciplines, including Financial Control, Planning & Analysis, Treasury and Tax.
The UK CFO is also the “Senior Accounting Officer” for the local tax authority.
Delivering accurate and timely information relating to capital planning, balance sheet management, financial performance with insights to inform decision making.
The provision of financial plans for the UK legal entities, with timely outlooks to provide regular forward-looking perspectives on expected performance. Participate and lead as appropriate on related initiatives to improve performance as well as underlying financial metrics
Maintain a high standard of controls, with oversight on the identification and execution of related improvement initiatives
Serve as a key partner to the CFO and CCO to identify and advise on matters which impact financial performance with associated risks and opportunities.
Represent Finance as a member on multiple executive governance committees, including Asset & Liability Committee and Risk Management Committee. Co-chair of the Capital Forum and the Recovery & Resolution Planning group.
Extensive involvement with the Board of Directors on core financial deliverables, together with broader forward-looking strategic topics
Maintain proactive engagement with local regulators on day-to-day matters ensuring Finance meets related priorities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Prior work experience as a Finance Officer in a financial services institution preferred
Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships and influence across stakeholders
Demonstrated operational skills, able to drive results in a complex environment
Excellent people leader – track record of building and maintaining high-performing teams
Excellent communication skills across channels. Ability to understand and effectively articulate complex concepts to country and regional senior management.
