Job Description

The business works with early stage and growth businesses to help drive growth in the next generation of businesses making their mark around the globe. The successful candidate will be integral to ensuring that all group accounting and reporting is best in class and built for growth.

Responsibilities:

• Own all group accounting and reporting and consolidated group financial statements.
• Develop and improve financial controls, processes and policies across the group (mainly UK and Europe) with a focus on cost control and speed to close.
• Oversight of all treasury activities and payroll across the business (through 3rd party providers)
• Oversight of payroll processes across the group including 3rd party accountants and/or outsourced payroll providers
• Financial ownership of payment processing platform (Stripe and/or others)
• Manage all group taxes including Corporation tax and VAT in the UK and internationally
• Lead on group wide financial audit and production of statutory accounts
• Support wider group compliance with regulatory reporting and capital requirement calculations
• Continuous improvement of all systems and processes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Qualified Chartered Accountant OR overseas equivalent (ACA or ACCA)
• 5+ years’ post qualified experience
• Experience of leading a team
• Ideally experience of a fast growth, international scale-up technology company
• Extremely strong technical accounting skills
• International group consolidation experience
• Advanced office skills and experience of accounting systems – ideally Xero, Holded, Pennylane, Visma
• Experience with regulated FinTech and/or CASS audits a significant preference
