Job Description
- Run the finance function at Hypervolt, including, compliance (financial and tax), control, FP&A, operational finance, and treasury
- Reporting directly into the CFO.
- Own the Budgeting and Forecasting Process
- Support leadership team strategic decision making through required analysis and reporting.
- Ownership of cash forecasting process
- Run the month end close process with resulting reporting of month end results with full knowledge of all financial movements.
- Present monthly results to management and Director meetings.
- Ensure all stat, regulatory, tax, and grant filings are done per requisite timelines.
- Coordinate all future audits and due diligence initiatives.
- Systems = work with the CFO to design future financial system architecture and implement end design.
- Take the lead on hiring, training and growing the finance function
- Manage Operational Finance team (currently Junior Management Accountant) to ensure timely collection and payments (Supplier and Payroll)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Someone with a passion for Scale Ups and has the ability to ensure robust financial foundations alongside the ability to provide the analysis and reporting to drive the business forward.
- Someone who knows the numbers and is able to clearly communicate these out to the wider business.
- Exceptional attention to detail - If it does not balance or reconcile it upsets you.
- Someone ready to take on the challenge of a hypergrowth business and its associated demands.
- A passion for the Greentech / EV space.
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/CA).
- Some exposure to inventory or manufacturing would be great but not required.
