Job Description
  • Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, credit control and Cash Book management
  • Bank reconciliations
  • To liaise with the pension fund scheme administrators
  • Assistance in the production of annual accounts, budgets and management information
  • Maintenance of accounting documents and filing systems
  • Proficient in Sage Accounting systems
  • Proficient in use of Excel spreadsheets
  • Demonstrate the necessary level of accuracy and correctness in dealing with information and data
  • Sensitively handle all aspects of data and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Undertake relevant training or development as required by the post
  • To promote the aims and objectives of the Institute
  • To work as part of the Institute team as required
  • To carry out other duties as required by the Institute

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Substantial financial management experience
  • Knowledge and experience of pension administration
  • Knowledge and experience of VAT calculations
  • V & H Look Up experience
  • "What if" analysis in Excel
  • Pivot Table experience
  • Excellent numeric and analytical skills;
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Excellent IT skills across all platforms
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven track record of delivering and meeting tight deadlines
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task
  • An ability to prioritize activities and work to agreed targets and timetables
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute suggestions/ideas to improve its efficiency
  • Flexible approach to the work involved and able to work well under pressure.
