Job Description
- Preparation of month end management accounting information and support of statutory accounts within compliance requirements.
- Preparation of budget, and review and analysis of financial performance against budget, including preparation of reports.
- Provide accurate and insightful information to drive and improve business decisions to ensure the business meets the annual operating plan.
- Support forecasting requirements.
- Responsibility for general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Costing, related to bills of materials and stock management.
- Ensure all statutory returns are completed and submitted in line with local legislation.
- Supervision of VAT and Intrastat returns for HMRC.
- Responsible for audit liaison, answering queries an implementing actions as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Chartered level qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), ideally with experience of manufacturing environment.
- Able to demonstrate strong technical accounting competency along with operational business experience
- Great communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire
- Experience of product costing and stock management.
- Able to produce annual budgets and forecasts with the ability to add value to the business operating plan
- Able to travel within the UK, full driving license required
