Job Description

As an Accounts and Audit Semi Senior you will undertake a varied role in which the workload will primarily consist of the preparation of year-end accounts, tax compliance (corporate and personal), and Bookkeeping and VAT work. There will also be some level of involvement with assisting on audit assignments in the position however, previous audit experience is not a prerequisite as full training will be given on that front.

This role would be ideally suited to an ambitious Semi Senior / Trainee Accountant with practice experience, who is keen to develop their career within a leading regional firm of accountants.

The ideal candidate may be AAT Qualified or may have already begun studying towards the ACA or ACCA qualifications. Whilst prior audit experience isn’t essential the successful applicant will come from a practice background and will have experience of carrying out a varied general practice role.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Attending and assisting with audits including that of planning and field work and stock take
• Year-end statutory accounts preparation
• Preparation of personal and corporation tax returns for individuals and companies
• Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns
• Management accounts preparation
• Preparation of forecasts
