Job Description

Working on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week in the amazing Hatfield Head offices and 3 days working from home!

What else will you be doing?

  • Providing value adding financial insight, support and challenge to the Gemini business and Commercial team by building effective working relationships at all levels, including Senior Managers and with other departments in the business
  • Ownership of the development of business case modelling for the Gemini business and new potential prospective clients
  • Ownership of reporting and forecasting for the Gemini business: supporting the Solutions finance and commercial teams by developing our reporting and forecasting processes, ensuring consistency across teams and incorporating best practice reporting; your work will involve designing and pulling together packs for reviews with senior management as well as responsibility for the budget and forecast cycle
  • Work closely and build an effective relationship with the commercial team to provide value adding insight and financial advice into management discussions
  • Maintain and enhance financial controls ensuring accuracy and robustness of reporting and continue to develop reporting for the Gemini business

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Relevant and successful completion of financial qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Ideally 7 years+ in a finance based role with good understanding of relevant regulatory environments
  • Strong experience of financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience of business partnering with senior stakeholders both within Finance and other functions
  • Experience of reporting period management accounts, analysis and commentary
  • System skills including mainstream accounting packages e.g. Oracle, Hyperion, Advanced skills in the use of Google Sheets / Excel and Google Slides / PowerPoint
  • You will need to be personable, open, flexible and hard working with the ability to challenge assumptions behind forecasts and budgets.
  • Excellent time management skills, demonstrating high levels of accuracy, thoroughness and reliability whilst coping under pressure
  • Candidates must be able to priorities and have a flexible approach, responding to the changing nature of Ocado in a timely manner
  • Experience of working in a matrix structure and working in a fast paced technology / engineering environment is desirable.
