Preparing basic client management accounts and financial statements for Manager sign-off
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards around fixed assets and depreciation, stock, accrued/deferred income, accruals
Compiling information for personal and corporate tax returns required by the Tax team, along with advisory work for discussion with Managers
Preparing statutory accounts and VAT returns for review by Managers and forwarding to clients for sign-off, then submitting them online to HMRC
Assisting with special project assignments, ownership of agreed budgets and meeting client deadlines.
Point of contact for clients and other third-party stakeholders, with direct contact at Finance Manager level
Ensuring all team work is carried out profitably and on a timely basis in accordance with the firm’s standards
Assisting with promoting other service lines within the firm and attending external business seminars/events as required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be considered for the role you should be at least AAT Qualified or ideally ACCA Finalist (or Qualified Accountant), with at least two years experience in an Accountancy Practice / Accounting Firm.
The practice is looking for someone with the potential to become a future Manager, and are therefore looking for ambitious, entrepreneurial and highly-driven character traits.
Knowledge of Sage Accounts would be a distinct advantage.
