Job Description

• Year-end processing of journals
• Year-end group accounts - preparation of notes, tables and supplementary analysis and liaising with Auditors.
• Being able to confidently deputies/cover for the Senior Financial Accountant over the year end period.
• Providing year end technical accounting assistance and advice to customers.
• Technical analysis and preparation for the University's corporation tax calculation and liaison with relevant external tax advisors.
• Preparation and technical analysis of VAT returns prior to review with Senior Financial Accountant and external VAT advisor.
• Preparation of Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Forecasts for the various forecasting cycles for various entities.
• Preparation and processing of month end journals.
• Update, report and provide technical analysis of the monthly cash flow forecast to understand variances and refine forecasting accuracy.
• Management and preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations, including initial review and follow up with persons responsible for the various control accounts.
• Producing a monthly report on the Balance Sheet reconciliations for senior management review.
