Job Description
  • Oversee day to day bookkeeping and accounting for a variety of clients of different sizes and in different industries.
  • Posting of month end journals and preparation of monthly management accounts, including the reconciliation and maintenance of balance sheet accounts.
  • Preparation of analysis and commentary for inclusion in management accounts.
  •  Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Deal with ad hoc queries from clients as the primary contact for own portfolio of clients.
  • Support the management and training of trainees and apprentices.
  • Proactively support the team in developing knowledge and experience in new systems and technological advances.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent and AAT level 4 qualified.
  •  Must have 3+ years' experience of working within an accountancy practice in similar role.
  •  Keen to continue or pursue further accounting qualification.
  •  Organized with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Logical and systematic approach.
  • Numerate with strong communication skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative and/or part of a team.- Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
