Job Description
- Monthly management accounts and variance analysis for submission to both the Company's board of directors and the Group finance team for incorporation in the Group's consolidated accounts.
- Monthly cash forecasting and reporting.
- Quarterly profit forecasting.
- Annual budget including setting of departmental budgets with assistance for departmental heads and monitoring of those costs.
- Annual published IFRS statutory financial statements.
- Deputies for the Finance Director when required.
- Continuous improvement of the financial processes and procedures required to support the development of the business including improving internal control process and procedures.
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required by the Company's board and Group finance team.
- Liaising with finance teams from other Group companies.
- Liaising with auditors, bankers and external advisors.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) accountant with strong technical and analytical skills (including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel)
- The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate that they are a progressive thinker who can drive improvements in the Company's reporting processes and internal control procedures.
- This role will appeal to an accountant who likes a 'hands on' position as it will involve significant communication and analysis of all business areas and processes.
