Responsible for managing three members of staff including the Accountant, Sales Ledger Clerk and Purchase Ledger Clerk, carrying out regular appraisals and performance management
Supervising the maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes for the organizing and its trading subsidiary
Coordinating the year-end process including statutory accounts and external audit, including completion of the statutory accounts
Liaising closely with relevant income generating departments over contract compliance and debt collection
Responsible for supervising both accounts payable and receivable
Maintaining the fixed asset register
Overseeing the financial systems ensuring they are effective for the requirements of the finance department and the wider organization
Providing financial and non-financial information to Trustees, directors, budget holders, project managers and external funder
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Part-qualified Accountant
Experience of statutory accounts preparation
Experience of the annual accounts and audit process
