Financial Accountant

Job Description
- Responsible for managing three members of staff including the Accountant, Sales Ledger Clerk and Purchase Ledger Clerk, carrying out regular appraisals and performance management
- Supervising the maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes for the organizing and its trading subsidiary
- Coordinating the year-end process including statutory accounts and external audit, including completion of the statutory accounts
- Liaising closely with relevant income generating departments over contract compliance and debt collection
- Responsible for supervising both accounts payable and receivable
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Overseeing the financial systems ensuring they are effective for the requirements of the finance department and the wider organization
- Providing financial and non-financial information to Trustees, directors, budget holders, project managers and external funder
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Part-qualified Accountant
- Experience of statutory accounts preparation
- Experience of the annual accounts and audit process
