Job Description
In this role you will work collaboratively with wider Finance teams and supporting the Group Financial Controller to create and manage the financial and data integrity of our various finance applications and ensuring adherence to the control framework through effective management in-line with the financial calendar. Ensure the creation of new processes and application changes are accurately monitored, presented, and facilitated through the relevant Governance framework.
What I need to do?
- Manage and maintain all Data Model hierarchies and supporting system functionalities to accurately support the production of key internal and external reports.
- Chairing the Data Model Advisory Board meeting and owning the process to facilitate updates to the data model and ensuring all controls and governance are followed.
- Support the completion of period end, yearend, latest view, and budget activities.
- Manage and develop a team.
- Be a positive, pro-active, and challenging business partner to Finance stakeholders and Tech, striving for shared success whilst holding them to account.
- Be clear on specific deadlines and sequencing and manage business partners, stakeholders, and leadership to deliver on-time.
- Ensure all processes and governance documentation is diligently maintained and communicated when required.
- Working with Finance Transformation work stream business leads to support and contribute the successfully delivery of sustainable change but also understand changing needs and manage expectations.
- Working with Financial Reporting to build a robust and efficient statutory reporting process that aligns with the Group’s Data Model.
- Following the governance around changes, to ensure there is a clear audit trail that is documented.
- Have a continuous mindset in improving processes and driving change in the most effective way presenting options to leadership and make a recommendation based on relative merits.
- Effectively priorities to ensure short and long-term success including effective dependency management of BAU activities and the dependencies on the Finance Transformation project pipeline.

- Where third parties are engaged, be clear on their deliverables and manage them to successful delivery.
