Job Description
  • Preparation and maintenance of audit support file, liaison with auditors and monitoring outstanding task list.
  • Preparation of adjusting journals, together with proper audit trail support, to accurately correct posting errors within the accounting records of the Group.
  • Preparing or reviewing balances sheet reconciliations for items such as trade debtors, trade creditors, VAT and cash. Ensuring that reconciling items are resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Review of trade debtor and trade creditor listings for intercompany items and liaison  to ensure timely settlement.
  • Monthly review of accruals and prepayments to ensure all entries reverse out appropriately.
  • Execution of and reconciliations for monthly payroll journals for the group's payrolls, including accruals for amounts cross-charged to other entities.
  • Liaison with the segment accounting teams and consolidation teams as part of the financial reporting close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Liaison with the Tax department to ensure an appropriate accrual is posted for tax and deferred tax quarterly for all entities within the group.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

  • Must be able to demonstrate academic success.
  • Experience in a similar role and industry is highly desirable
