Liaising with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries.
Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
Assisting with the processing of payroll and CIS for clients.
Providing year-end accounts information to external accountants; resolving queries and posting year-end journals.
General administrative duties.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge and experience of working on cloud based bookkeeping software QuickBooks, Xero, Cashflow.
Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principle is essential.
The ideal candidate should be able to understand and carry out control account reconciliations (viz Bank reconciliation; sales and purchase ledgers; VAT and PAYE accounts)
Knowledge of document processing technology .
Good communication (written and verbal) skills to deal with the clients.
