Job Description

You will be reporting to the Group Performance & Finance Transformation Director, leading on a broad spectrum of transformation projects in Group Finance. In addition to financial reporting projects, your remit will include supporting sustainability projects and partnering with senior leaders including the Group Tax Director, Group CFO and Group Finance Systems Director. This newly created role is pivotal to align Group Finance with new technologies, increased data volumes and new regulations.

What you'll be doing…

  • Partner with FPA, Financial Reporting, Finance Operations, Tax and Actuary teams to deliver finance transformation projects
  • Support the translation of the Group Finance vision into strategy, creating a comprehensive plan to build out the strategy for finance
  • Review and build Sustainability reporting process, partnering with key stakeholders
  • Ensure transformation activity is aligned with Bupa’s strategy (‘3x6’)
  • Plan transformation activities both long term and short term (story-based sprint planning)
  • Develop project progress reporting structures, including KPIs
  • Maintain appropriate project governance - risks, issues, and decision logs
  • Liaise with the People team to build on current or new talent management programmes
  • Coordinate the production of content for internal communications
  • Engage with company’s global process owners to identify and implement process improvement opportunities

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Senior finance leader, qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Finance transformation expert who is skilled at coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Proactive and passionate about driving cultural change & process improvements
  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders (Exec level)
  • Previous experience of implementing change in a large-scale corporate environment
  • Quantitative analysis skills, including ability to check reported data for accuracy
  • A familiarity with agile delivery methodologies
  • Self-starter with strategic vision
