Job Description
- Lead and guide a small team to include overseeing the accounts payable and receivable functions
- Preparation of month end and year end journals
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and reports to include cash flows, depreciation, analysis and commentary
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Monthly bank reconciliation
- Preparation of audit files and dealing with the annual audit
- Maintenance of the company assets register and associated finance schedules
- Monthly and annual reconciliation of the general ledger
- Maintenance of the accounting software to include overseeing any updates
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or qualified with a minimum of ten years’ experience
- Experience in a similar role
- Committed with solid commercial acumen
- Experience in managing a small team
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business
- SME/family run business exposure
- Experience in managing a small team
