Job Description
- Maintain vendor records and control checks
- Review and posting of UK and international purchase ledger invoices and staff expenses
- Handling supplier payment and invoice queries
- Negotiating supplier charges and contract renewal prices
- Handling of differences/postings
- Ensure correct VAT treatment for purchase invoicesand expenses
- Monthly reconciliation of Accounts Payable Ledger to General Ledger
- Bank and Cash
- Maintain daily cash book records of receipts and payments (Sterling and currency)
- Preparation of UK and foreign currency payments for approval
- Posting of bank and cash ledger entries
- Providing cover for Credit Control and Sales Leger and E-commerce
- Providing cover for Stock Accountant (e.g. booking of inventory receipts)
- Review of Sales Ledger postings, provisions and new customer accounts
- Assistance with annual stock counts and periodic sample counts
- Preparation of monthly sales commissions and quarterly royalty reports
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations e.g. prepayments, fixed assets
- Maintain staff attendance records
- Collate and maintain environmental data for certification purposes
- Assistance to Finance Director with process review, systems development and testing
- Liaising with Customer Services, Warehouse, Production and Sales teams
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 1-2 years in a similar role
- MS Office
- Experience in using accounting package
