Managing the accounts in box, dealing with queries, processing of purchase invoices, bank reconciliations, receipting of sales invoices, process expense claims.
Some company secretarial work
Ensure the year end files are complete with back up schedules to support balance sheet figures
Use of Xero / QuickBooks and Excel
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experienced bookkeeper with a good knowledge of the VAT rules
Ideally a minimum of one year’s previous experience or working in Practice or an 'outsourced’ finance function where regular contact is needed with both the client and their suppliers and customers
Extensive bookkeeping experience including managing the accounts in box, purchase and sales ledgers, credit controls and bank reconciliations
AAT Qualified or working towards AAT or QBE
Confident use of cloud- based accountancy software including Xero, QuickBooks
Excellent skills with Microsoft Word and Excel
Capable of working in a busy office environment and handle various telephone queries on a daily basis
