Job Description
  • Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process
  • Verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
  • Bringing the books to the trial balance stage
  • Reconcile the general ledger
  • Reconcile takings
  • Produce Ad Hoc reports
  • Assist the Management Accountant in preparing the monthly financial pack
  • Liaise with the finance team and other departments
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual audit file
  • Deal with any queries raised by the external auditors
  • Do some administrative work as required
  • Provide support for other accounting staff, in particular the Accountant, as necessary, particularly during holidays and sickness absences

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is a required
  • Proven bookkeeping experience (At least 3 years’ experience)
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles;
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records;
  • Manual Reconciliation experience
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organized with a can do attitude.
