Job Description
  • Bookkeeping duties to include.
  • Double entry bookkeeping.
  • Processing sales invoices.
  • Receipts and payments
  • Preparation of statements showing income and expenditure
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Preparing Payroll and processing expenses claims
  • Helping prepare  accounts and balance sheets
  • Manage Sole Trader and Individual Personal Tax Self-Assessment Tax returns
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Manager - Bookkeeping, VAT and Management Accounts, Client Partners, and Accountants.
  • Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between clients/visitors/enquirers and staff and interpret and respond clearly and effectively
  • Manage, organize and update relevant data using database applications
  • Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • AAT
  • Accounts Assistant
  • Assistant Accountant
  • Senior Bookkeeper QBE with demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Level 4 or partly qualified ACCA
  • Strong double entry bookkeeping skills
  • Good working knowledge of financial applications: QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, TaxCalc
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Payroll experience - Bright Pay
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately
  • Ability to manage and work to own deadlines
  • Excellent team player and enjoys working in a fast paced and busy client facing environment and being part of a dynamic and growing team
  • Manage Sole Trader and Individual Personal Tax Self-Assessment Tax returns
