Job Description
  • Managing and posting invoices ensuring sales and purchase ledgers
  • Working with Finance Manager to prepare monthly management accounts for at lease one entity
  • Maintaining technical knowledge of financial reporting and being the point of reference regarding new (and existing) standards
  • Preparing for year end
  • Month end completion
  • Monthly credit card reconciliation
  • Playing an active role in the continuous improvement of finance department processes and procedures
  • Recording, reconciling and auditing data
  • ADHOC work when necessary
  • Credit control
  • Work with finance manager to maintain and upkeep files and introduce new processes to improve productivity
  • Reporting discrepancies to manager Researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely fashion
  • Complying with financial laws and regulations alongside in-house policies

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proven experience within accounts
  • Experience with using SAGE 200/50 is essential
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office products – Excel knowledge is essential
  • Managing the sales and purchase ledger and reconciliation
  • Month end reconciliation duties
  • Credit control
  • Accounting qualification is desirable
