Daily review and investigation of assets and liabilities in each currency.
Preparing the daily Liquidity Report in the absence of the accountant.
Monthly passing of entries for accrued income, liabilities and prepaid expenses.
Fixed assets control of inventory and accrual records.
Control Information System to include budget forecasts and variance analysis of operating expenses and revenues.
Preparation of quarterly VAT Returns, quarterly payment of income tax deducted on interest payments, monthly payment of National Insurance and PAYE Income Tax, and assistance in the preparation of annual Corporation Tax Returns.
Assist in the preparation of external and internal audits.
Investigation and payment of authorized invoices and strict control of records. Liaising with third party providers and suppliers.
Control of petty cash, ensuring payments are authorized and adequate receipts kept.
Involvement in daily audit trail.
Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
Assist in the preparation of reports
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Budget Forecasts
Degree holder and must be at least part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
Strong IT skills, particularly proficiency with Excel spreadsheet software
Ideally hold previous finance experience at a bank
