Job Description
  • Preparation of basic accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
  • Preparation of tax returns, including VAT, Corporation Tax, Partnership Tax and Self-Assessment
  • Bookkeeping processing and analysis
  • Preparation of period-end journals to account for depreciation, prepayment and accruals
  • Preparation of control accounts where required
  • General office duties, as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • GCSE Maths and English (Level 5/Grade C or above)
  • Part-qualified AAT (level 2/3) would be great but not essential
  • 1-2 years’ experience in accounting, with the ability to reconcile purchase, sales and bank data
  • Knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage would also be handy but lots of training will be provided
  • Sound knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills (e.g., telephone, face-to-face and email)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Open to learning new systems and processes
  • Above all - a team player!
