Accounts Assistant

Job Description
  • To raise sales invoices and perform daily invoicing functions within the accounting division of the company through the financial system
  • To deal with sales invoice queries
  • To manage and update company contract base
  • To assist with credit control to minimize the occurrence of problem debts
  • To liaise with operations to update forecast sheets leading up to month end
  • Reconciling customer statements
  • Adding new customer accounts
  • Assisting with closing the ledger and month end reporting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with clients and their accounts teams ·
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in team oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently in a time sensitive environment
  • Ability to priorities and organize workload, multi-task, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with the Operations Mangers, Operation administrators and other finance colleagues
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ideally worked within a small to medium business environment
  • Personable, proactive and able to build rapport at all levels
  • Minimum two years current experience on SAGE line 50 accounts or other accounting software
  • AAT/CIMA/ACCA qualified preferred
  • Excellent analytical experience and competency in Excel
  • Experience in supervising a team in Managers absence
  • Ability to priorities and work unsupervised
  • Focus and attention to detail essential
  • Enthusiastic & hard working with a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skill
