Job Description

The Head of Finance is an exciting role, as it helps support all teams across the Hospice to deliver this vision. The Head of Finance leads a dedicated and hardworking finance team, and with their support manages all of the day to day financial operations. The finance team is responsible for ensuring that these finances are well managed and that there is an efficient and effective financial service to Hospice departments and budget holders.

The role reports into the Director of Finance and Corporate Services.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Be a qualified accountant with a qualification such as ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA
• Have a good understanding of the Charity SORP
• Have experience of leading a successful finance team within an organization of a similar size and complexity
• Engage well with both internal and external stakeholders. This includes communicating financial information clearly to a non-finance audience
