Job Description

This a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader, you will be part of a senior leadership team which will embark on a division-wide transformational programme led by the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Programme Director. This programme includes multiple work streams across the business. As the lead of your assigned responsibility specialist area, you will take ownership of all aspects of the strategy, project control, change management and benefits analysis and ensure the platform delivers value to the organization in the short and long term. This includes end-user engagement, communications, education, go-live support, post-live support, optimization and transition.

Specific deliverables and top priorities for this role are:

  • Accountable for the management of 7 of the work streams supporting the delivery of an EHR solution covering billing and payments, supply chain, finance, registration and scheduling, and case management
  • Leading the definition of business requirements through the discovery, design and deployment of the programme, reviewing and adapting business processes to ensure efficiency and effective implementation of the EHR solution while continuing to meet the needs of the business.
  • Responsible for line management of the work stream leads, providing vision and direction, and working collaboratively with key stakeholders and experts across the business, challenging complexity, to ensure the finance, supply chain and revenue cycle business needs are incorporated within the solution.
  • Responsible for the management of risks and issues for the work stream, escalating to a programme level where appropriate, following change control process and adopting standard project governance.
  • Responsible for ensuring reporting on the work stream progress, dependencies, risks and issues, costs and resourcing for consolidation up to a programme level with accountability measures and KPIs mapped against objectives.
  • Working collaboratively across work streams to ensure a joined-up approach, working with the development teams on system design, build, testing and business adoption including testing, business change management and training.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience and knowledge of working in and leading a Finance, Supply Chain or Revenue Cycle team within a healthcare provision organization is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational and people management skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to challenge effectively as necessary
  • A pro-active approach to overcoming obstacles and the ability to inspire and bring the business on a journey
  • Ability to maintain “big picture” thinking, to drive simplification of business processes and delivering to business needs
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Working collaboratively across a matrix project team
