Support Senior management in relation to the delivery of business projects and initiatives, including the resolution of sophisticated or problematic issues
Lead work to investigate, develop and implement operational improvements in the areas of technology (including automation), process and new products
Demonstrate thinking by collaborating closely with key stakeholder groups (eg Financial Controllers, Finance Directors) and, where required, trading partners
Mentor and support junior colleagues, contribute to succession planning and talent management
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience of UK and London insurance market, ideally in Insurance Accounting or related roles.
Demonstrate a hands-on approach and be comfortable taking accountability for resolution of issues and delivery of objectives.
Analytical mind with an eye for detail and strong problem solving skills.
Ability to identify, engage with and manage partners at all levels.
Proven knowledge of technology and standard desk top packages: MS/Excel, MS/Word, MS/PowerPoint.
Experience in developing effective working relationships across the market.
A recognized accounting qualification, or progress towards one, whilst not crucial would be an advantage
