Job Description
  • Setting annual budget (and Quarterly Reforecast) targets for business, leading pertinent departmental/business unit heads through the budget process to produce the annual financial budget to be presented to global executive management.
  • Building budgeting and forecasting models and further lead the continuous improvements
  • Maintain a dynamic monthly financial forecasting model including pipeline analysis and risks/opportunities.
  • Support decision making by identifying necessary actionable steps in response to key financial or KPI variances. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to manage ongoing business needs.
  • Be a key strategic business partner to the MD and the Heads of Departments
  • Partner with accounting in managing monthly and quarterly close processes to ensure accruals and rev rec are accurate.
  • Ensure P&L accuracy and variance context is assessed on a timely basis in line with monthly close, operational reviews
  • Improve operating teams’ understanding of financial statements with consistent, timely, and actionable analysis. Collaborate with the operating leads to provide recommendations on how to improve profitability and operating efficiency.
  • Assessing budget to actuals performance by project and clients across agency operations
  • Build, constantly improve and leverage financial and non-financial reporting based on reporting calendars
  • Lead resource for financial reporting and the key partner for Corporate Finance and Accounting to achieve automation of reporting such as detailed P&Ls, margin focused project reporting, resource utilization, T&E management, and more for the region
  • Ad hoc analysis and projects at request

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Degree in finance, accounting, or other business related field
  • 7 or more years of combined accounting, finance and strategic analysis experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in financial analysis and model building
  • Media & entertainment industry experience preferred
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Function effectively in an especially fast-paced, high growth operating environment, managing time effectively to address high priority items in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate with peers, subordinates and executive management.
  • A desire to work on different facets of the finance and accounting operations of the company - this is not a role that will just focus on one area
