The role offers wide and various challenges around motor vehicle stocks at the eight Trust workshops alongside management of the Administration Team and working with the Administration Team Leader.
There will be the requirement to travel to the vehicle workshops around the North West and to liaise with Area Service Managers and Workshop Supervisors. The role will involve stock management alongside the workshop teams and working with the Fleet Strategy team in understanding the vehicle replacement programme to ensure stock is utilised effectively with minimum loss.

To maintain and manage a central controlled stock system for NWAS workshops within the fleet management system. Working alongside the Area Service Managers to balance stock needs for individual workshops. Reporting on stock usage to capture needs of workshops from historic data and provide continual improvement of a cost effective procurement of stock, both bulk and imprest.
Management of the workshop administration team, working with the Administration Team Leader to ensure smooth and effective paperwork flow, and adherence to the Standing Financial Instructions and overall staff management responsibility.
Working with the Fleet Strategy team to gain an understanding of new incoming vehicles, to ascertain new parts required on any model changes and to inform workshops of new parts incoming.
Working with Fleet Strategy team to understand vehicle models coming to end of life and to run stock holding down to minimise waste.
