Job Description
  • Provide timely, accurate and reliable information to management, Finance and business unit management teams on an ongoing basis to support decision-making, develop strategy, and analyze risk and opportunities.
  • Operate as the responsible officer for all (financial) statutory reporting obligations (specifically statutory accounts and tax).
  • Overall control of the entity’s accounting function, with regular reporting to the UK’s Executive and CFO.
  • Proactively manage the legacy UK finance team and work to support business units.
  • Developing company’s FP&A capability and business partnering model.
  • Formulating business unit financial targets and budgets in accordance with the strategy determined by the UK Exec Team.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the company objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy, risks and governance.
  • Overall control of all financial transactions and related controls assurance framework.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant, at least 5 years qualified experience
  • Experience of working at FD level, ideally for medium sized enterprises (500 staff).
  • Evidence of managerial experience in supporting operations and new business activities.
  • Senior level experience of managing financial operations, preferably outsourced contracts (private health sector experience helpful.)
  • Senior-level experience of corporate governance.
  • Must be able to clearly articulate to financial and non-financial leaders and staff.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and be able to work.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop and mentor staff.
  • Well-developed emotional intelligence.
  • Credible and effective leadership qualities.
  • Strives for excellence.
  • Self-motivated and able to motivate others.
  • Ability to be flexible in personal style and about changing methods and technologies to respond to the organization’s needs.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines where there are competing demands.
