Client book-keeping and preparing basic management accounts for Manager sign-off
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards around fixed assets and depreciation, stock, accrued/deferred income, accruals
Preparing statutory accounts and VAT returns for review by Managers and forwarding to clients for sign-off, then submitting them online to HMRC
Assisting with special project assignments, ownership of agreed budgets and meeting client deadlines.
Point of contact for clients and other third-party stakeholders, with direct contact at Finance Manager or higher level
Ensuring all team work is carried out profitably and on a timely basis in accordance with the firm’s standards
Assisting with promoting other service lines within the firm and attending external business seminars/events as required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be considered for the role you should be Qualified By Experience or ACCA/ATT Qualified, ideally with at least three years experience .
The practice is looking for someone with the potential to become a future Manager, and are therefore looking for ambitious, entrepreneurial and highly-driven character traits.
You should be technically up to date with UK Accounting Standards, and have strong knowledge of XERO .
