Reporting to the Finance Manager the Senior Finance Assistant will be responsible for supporting the effective day to day financial management of the Credit Union delivering excellent internal and external customer service:
Ensure daily credits are processed by Branch opening and the loan run is completed
Process Member withdrawals
Ensure that bank reconciliations are kept up to date and balanced
Monitor bank balances
Support the monitoring of treasury management for the branch network
Maintain the Cash ordering for Branches within insurance limits
Maintain spreadsheet to monitor this.
Monitor end of day cash sheets keeping a spreadsheet of individual + or -
Assist in a series of cash counts within the branch network.
Ensure that all petty cash is balanced and signed off correctly every month
Support the completion of Month and Quarter ends
Process Visa and prepaid card payments, standing orders/DD’s
Code and process invoices for payment. Pay authorized invoices. Maintain accurate invoice spread sheets
Maintain Faster Payments/Direct Debit System both on Curtains and Access pay
Contribute to any admin/reporting tasks
Contribute to ad hoc financial projects
Deal with more complex finance queries in a professional manor
Cover for Finance Assistant as and when required
Support the Finance Manager and HoF as required
Act as a mentor and support the Finance Assistants ongoing development
